An installation inspired by the devastating wildfires that affected Chios in the summer of 2025 and reached residential areas.

A curtain made of burned tree branches creates a boundary between the viewer and piles of wood placed in front of it.

A video projection of fire appears to continue burning across the branches, filling the space with intense colour, sound and sparks.

Oxygen, essential to life and breath, is also what feeds the fire. The work explores this contradiction: life depends on oxygen to exist, while fire depends on it to spread.
